Separate read and change actions
I can distinguish whether a tool used by AI reads information or changes something, and require human approval for changes.
Workflows and agents
What this means
Review the actions available to AI, label each one as reading or changing, and put actions that make changes behind human approval.
Why this matters
A reading error produces a poor answer. A changing error can send a message, delete a file, or make a purchase. They need different controls.
How to recognize this skill
- 01Label each action as reading or changing.
- 02Limit permissions to what the task requires.
- 03Require human approval before actions that make changes are performed.
This does not yet demonstrate the skill
- Knowing the definition of an agent.
- Approving all permissions at once.
