Check rights before publishing
I can check a service’s terms and my own usage rights before publishing content made with AI.
Communication and creative work
What this means
Before publishing, find out what the service terms say about using its output, whether the work includes someone else’s material, and when the situation needs expert review.
Why this matters
Using AI does not by itself settle rights or service terms. Check the terms that apply to the material and its publication, and seek expert review when needed.
How to recognize this skill
- 01Find the section of the service terms that covers use of its output.
- 02Check whether the work includes another creator’s material or identifiable people.
- 03Identify when publication needs expert review.
This does not yet demonstrate the skill
- Assuming AI-generated content is free to use.
- Reading a guide about copyright.
