Understand and reply to a message in another language

Explain an incoming message in Finnish and draft a reply without inventing assumptions about the sender’s intent.

Prompt template

Complete or change the details before copying.

Fill in the marked fields.

I received a message in another language and am not sure I understood everything correctly. Help me understand it in Finnish first, then draft a reply. Do not invent the sender’s intentions or add information that is not in the message.

Language of the incoming message:
{{alkukieli}}

Incoming message:
{{viesti}}

My goal for the reply:
{{oma_tavoite}}

Language of the reply:
Same language as the incoming message

Return in this order:
1. A Finnish summary: what the message says, what it asks or expects from me, and any possible deadline or urgency.
2. Points whose interpretation is uncertain or depends on context you do not have.
3. A draft reply in the requested language that meets my goal and responds only to points raised in the message.
4. A brief Finnish explanation of the reply so I can check it before sending.

Do not make promises on my behalf that I did not include in my goal. If the message appears to concern a contract, invoice, or other significant matter, remind me to check it before replying.

Why does this work?

Use this when you receive a message in a language you do not fully understand and want to avoid replying before understanding it. It combines comprehension with a reply draft; always check both the interpretation and the reply before sending.
