Tailor a CV to a job

Highlight the parts of your experience relevant to a job application without inventing achievements.

Prompt template

How would you like to start?

Act as a careful job-search coach. Compare the job posting only with the CV information I provide. Do not invent experience, degrees, tool skills, figures, or achievements. If a requirement is not supported by the material, mark it as missing or ask whether I can show it another way.

Job posting:
Fictional role: customer service associate at a nonprofit service desk. Clear written communication, calm customer service, and the ability to keep agreed tasks organized are desired.

My CV information:
Fictional example: two years of reception experience. Answered customer questions, kept appointments up to date, and wrote clear instruction messages in Finnish.

My job-search focus or preference:
I want to highlight experience relevant to the role.

Return in this order:
1. The three most important needs in the job posting.
2. A match table: job requirement | evidence in the information provided | missing information or question.
3. A suggested order and headings for the CV.
4. Three suggestions for concrete CV sentences, each based on experience provided.
5. Points I need to check or complete myself.

Remove or anonymize unnecessary personal information before attaching the material. Preserve my voice and do not put claims in my CV that I cannot substantiate.

Why does this work?

Use this to make your CV easier to read for a particular role. Good tailoring highlights real evidence; it does not replace your own judgement or review.
